Ivy Aberdeen’s Letter to the World: A (Spoiler-Free) Book Review
Okay. I want to get into a rant about how amazing and important this book is right away, but I know I need to take a breath and let ya'll know what this is about first. Ivy Aberdeen's Letter to the World is about thirteen-year-old Ivy and her family's road to recovery after a tornado... Continue Reading →
Studying Our Love Languages: How to Treat Others the Way THEY Want to Be Treated
As a kid, I was always taught to treat others the way I'd like to be treated. That took me through my adolescence since the only thing I really had to think about then was treating everyone with kindness. I always asked before I played with someone else's toys, I made sure to tell my... Continue Reading →

Supermarket by Bobby Hall: A (Spoiler-Free) Book Review (and then some!)
So I just figured out my favorite BookTuber of all time (BooksAndLala) is reading Supermarket at some point this year, and I'm so excited because I have so many feelings about this one. I want to see how she'll respond to it because this doesn't seem like her typical genre at all, but Supermarket is... Continue Reading →
A (Mostly) Unbiased Review of The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical
Even in a lavish theater, the graffiti-esque back drop, homemade looking columns, and multi-use scaffolds didn't feel out of place. It felt like that actors weren't actors at all, and that they were just the characters themselves that had leapt out of the book. The enjoyment of theater didn't feel like a past-time for the rich; it felt accessible for people of all ages and demographics. It felt real.

This Adventure Ends: A (Spoiler-Free) Book Review
I'll admit: I read this book entirely because of the hype surrounding the author. Well actually, let me take a step back. I first heard about Emma Mills from a girl I went to high school with. She followed Emma on Twitter and was really into her books, and she entered a giveaway for her... Continue Reading →
My Happiness List: What I’m Grateful for This Year & Every Year
I know November is usually the month to remember what we're thankful for, but I've noticed some trends in myself recently that made me want to take stock a little early. Furthermore: A (Spoiler-Free) Book Review
Furthermore was one of my most anticipated reads when it first came out, so when I found it at my local used bookstore, I honestly freaked out a little. The bookstore I was at sold a mix of new and used books, and I figured there was no way Furthermore would be available used since... Continue Reading →
The Struggle is Meal(s): My Struggle with Food and My Journey to Recovery
This article goes into my struggles with food and includes some slight mentions of disordered eating. If that's a topic that will make you uncomfortable in any way, I recommend avoiding this post. My bad relationship with food began in elementary school. I had a friend I would play on the playground with every day,... Continue Reading →
